The internet is full of too much information and I’m not just talking about the meaning behind the sexual act of “snowballing”.
I was having a conversation with Kodabar earlier about how easy it is to obtain peoples information via the wonderful world of the internet. Curious about a recent commentor on the blog we set about trying to find out who it was. I say “we” what I actually mean is Kodabar did it – I was busy working. He found the chaps full name, age and e-mail address from a quick search.
It’s quite disturbing what you can find out about someone on the internet. A similar search about me will reveal a series of blog articles, my mobile number from the sale of a car I used to own, 3 previous addresses and the names of my wife, my parents and my brother. Disturbing. At least half that stuff I didn’t even put on the internet myself. Ok, maybe not half, but some of it was from electoral role data and evil services like 123people.com. Which is great when you’re trying to find information about heads of business banking, but not so great when trying to avoid Chris Moyles.

I hate it i see stuff from years ago being dragged up by google search results, my email is in plain view on a forum I can’t deregister from. Explains the spam lol.
Meh, its only going to get worse.
