No, I don't want to shag Robbie Williams...

Fame is thoroughly subjective. I’ve discovered that over the last 2 days while trying to come up with a list of questions to ask DJ Format. Most people I’ve spoken to don’t know who he is. Not much of a surprise as most people I know don’t like, nevermind listen to Hip-Hop. To me DJ Format is a legend up there with DJ Yoda, DJ Shadow and others, but then some of you reading this might not know who they are either (shame on you).

I was having this discussion with my wife last night. She didn’t understand why I was so excited.

“Imagine you had the chance to interview Robbie Williams and ask him anything you wanted.” I said.

“Yeah, but that’s not the same,” she replied, “I’d want to shag Robbie.”

Hmmmm, she had me there I had to admit.

She argued that Robbie was more famous. Not to me, I couldn’t care less. DJ Format is a legend, Robbie is just an annoying northern twonk. And I bet there are plenty of people who have no idea who he is (America).

Anyway, the point is, how famous, awesome or sexy someone is really depends on your perception. But remember, everybody poops.

And no, I don’t want to shag Format before you ask.

Quite true, never judge someone on how well known they are, a mistake the world over seems to make.

“I’ve never heard of him/her, so they can’t be any good.”
