Protect Your Phone From Malware with MalwareBytes

Alas, we all know one of the problems with Android has always been with viruses, dodgy apps and malware. That’s the one good thing you can say about iOS – because of their strict rules and app approval process there is far less chance of iPhones getting infected and borked. Android’s open environment allows much more freedom to developers and opportunity for innovation and creativity but it also has its risks.

Just like owning a PC, using an Android phone or tablet can be a dangerous thing if you don’t know what you’re doing or enjoy clicking links willy-nilly or installing apps without first checking reviews.

Just like PC, Android does offer some form of protection. The rather excellent anti-malware software MalwareBytes has now made its way into Android with a great free app that gives you peace of mind.

MalwareBytes has a simple interface and great features. It automatically scans downloaded (and updated) apps and offers scheduled scanning and a ‘scan now’ functionality to check your phone for anything you might want to remove.

There’s not much else to say really. Download it if you know what’s good for you.
